Cornerstone retail outlet: ‘Jat Maternity & Children’ to open in Hui Yue Kid’s City

JAT is delighted to announce the plan to open a cornerstone retail outlet, ‘JAT Maternity and Children’ within ‘Hui Yue Kid’s City’, a dedicated ‘one stop shopping’ destination for expectant mothers and the families of newborns through to children aged twelve.

Hui Yue Kid’s City is part of the 80,000 square meter Hui Yue Shopping Mall opening in the next few months. The Kid’s City will be the largest indoor children’s themed shopping centre in Zhengzhou spanning 18,000 square meters over three levels.

“This is an unsurpassed opportunity for JAT to build its China presence and generate revenue,” JAT Director Mr. Wilton Yao said. “Hui Yue is a landmark shopping development in Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan province which is home to around 100 million people.”

JAT plans to offer its own-brand products in the new shop, together with those of other Australian and international producers, offering exceptional Chinese retail exposure to clients of JAT, and of soon-to-be-acquired Green Forest International Pty Ltd.

Acquisition of Green Forest International

The board is pleased to announce that JAT has agreed, subject to shareholder approval, to purchase a controlling interest in Green Forest International Pty Ltd (Green Forest), a significant Sydney based wholesaler, distributor and exporter to Hong Kong and mainland China.

“This acquisition provides an immediate boost to JAT’s turnover and profitability,” Executive Director Wilton Yao said. “More importantly our businesses are highly complementary. We have very strong relationships with the major sales platforms in mainland China, like TMall and JD, and directly with major retailers like Shanghai Dragon, and of course we are developing our own product ranges. Green Forest is very strong in Hong Kong and in Australian Daigou and Duty Free stores, and they bring a large portfolio of Australian and international brands to the group.

“This is the next step in our strategy to develop FMCG distribution and sales channels for our own brands as well as third party products,” Mr.Yao said.

Green Forest sells to more than 50 shops and pharmacies in Hong Kong and over 200 gift shops, duty free stores and Daigou warehouses in Australia. They are major suppliers to Chinese TaoBao and Wechat channels and other online platforms.

The agreement delivers control of Green Forest with 50% of shares on issue (and Board Chairmanship with the casting vote). JAT and Green Forest shareholders have also agreed to inject $4 million into Green Forest as working capital to fund business expansion, taking advantage of merger synergies.

The Directors of JAT and Green Forest are confident that, working together the expanded businesses will achieve greater stability of cashflows and income.

Golden Koala brand awareness boosted by Chinese media coverage

Golden Koala participated in a signing ceremony on Saturday for the inaugural China International Import Expo, receiving Chinese television and news coverage and meeting major buyers from distributors and retail chains.

Over a thousand companies from more than a hundred countries have confirmed their attendance at the Expo and a select group were invited to a signing ceremony. Golden Koala joined 25 Expo exhibitors (most of which were Fortune 500 companies) at the signing ceremony, as one of only two food companies attending, the other being a Chinese brand.

Agreement with Shanghai Dragon Corporation to co-develop brands for Australian products

JAT and Shanghai Dragon Corporation (SDC) have agreed to work together to bring Australian products to Chinese consumers, and to co-develop own-brands for the Chinese market.

SDC is a large, state controlled, publically listed business with annual sales in excess of AUD 1 billion, and over 4,000 retail outlets.

“This week we have taken major steps toward selling more Golden Koala products online and offline,” JAT Director Wilton Yao said. “Our commitment to sourcing the best Australian produce is unwavering and we will continue to work with China’s most capable online and offline distributors to deliver them to Chinese families,” Mr Yao said. “Golden Koala’s natural, nutritious milk powders are helping to feed millions of infants and toddlers, and their families, and we are working to get a new premium OPO infant formula (with the same fatty acid structure as mothers’ milk) to market as soon as possible.”

Jbingo sells to leading Chinese B2B Maternal and Baby platforms such as Hipac, Seatent, Yuouhui, Qianfeng, Mainsweb and DDH, as well as some business-to-consumer platforms such as JD, VIP, Xiaohongshu and Taobao.

Part of internet giant NetEase, Kaola is one of China’s largest and fastest growing cross-border e-commerce platforms.

National Rollout of Multiple Sclerosis Employment Support

MSthanksMultiple Sclerosis Limited CEO Robyn Hunter visited JAT this week to accept our Directors’ donation of $524,717.28 from Executive Chairman Tony Crimmins and HR/Projects Manager Kylie Gray who lives and works with multiple sclerosis.

When Kylie was diagnosed with MS, the support provided by Multiple Sclerosis Limited was ‘a godsend’. Their assistance and equipment allowed her to continue to work and support her family. Multiple Sclerosis Limited delivers Australia’s only multiple sclerosis-specific employment support service in Australia. The program began in Victoria, extending into Sydney just a few years ago.

Multiple Sclerosis Limited is currently working hard to expand the service further into New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Tasmania, Queensland and Western Australia… and JAT is helping.

JAT Directors’ donation will be directed to this program, and JAT’s Kylie Gray will be keeping a keen and very interested eye on the national rollout of this vital service.

Infant Milk Formula Update: discussions with and Eternal Asia regarding online and offline distribution

Representatives from International Limited ( and Eternal Asia Supply Chain Management Limited (Eternal Asia) visited Jatenergy (JAT) and Golden Koala (GK) in Australia recently to commence negotiations regarding key terms for a draft agreement covering the sale of GK milk products online and offline in China. is one of China’s two largest online B2C retailers and offers access to over 260 million active customers. Eternal Asia is the leading nationwide integrated supply chain management service provider in China with distribution centres in all major cities.

As previously announced, JAT has entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire 51% of GK subject to shareholder approval, and GK has subsequently entered into a production agreement with Nutritional Choice Australia Pty Ltd (NCA) –  one of only 15 Australian manufacturers currently accredited by the CNCA (Certifcation and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China) to export infant formula into China. As each manufacturer is licenced for a maximum of three formulations GK’s powder will be one of only 45 (currently) which can be sold offline: securing a valuable “brand slot” in Chinese shops and supermarkets.

JAT and GK will continue to develop Chinese (and Australian) distribution channels and brand awareness simultaneous with applying for China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) approval for GK’s premium “OPO” infant milk powder.
